Decades of dedication have made Ricci Levy a leading advocate for sexual freedom. In 2003, she co-founded the Woodhull Freedom Foundation, a nonprofit human rights organization built on the principle of protecting personal autonomy.
As both Executive Director and later as President and CEO, Ricci has guided the organization for more than twenty years.
She is a frequent speaker and witness in legislative and academic settings, where she is recognized for reframing contentious debates in ways that promote mutual respect and collaboration.
Her advocacy spans censorship, the rights of sex workers, reproductive and family justice, and the humane treatment of incarcerated women.
She has been involved with AASECT, Widener University’s Sexuality and Aging Consortium, the US Human Rights Network, the Council on Contemporary Families, and the Free Expression Network, where she remains an active member of the Steering Committee.
