Founder and President of RightOfTheDot, LLC, a licensed business & premium domain auction & brokerage firm specializing in new & existing TLD strategy, Contention Resolution Services, board advisement, premium domain market positioning, sales, and services, Monte is also an Internet consultant and advisor. He formerly served as the President of SnapNames.com and as the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Moniker.com.
Since the mid-1990s, when he first began investing in domain names, Monte has been at the forefront of the domain and aftermarket service industry. Through his marketing, brokerage, and sales efforts, he facilitated the successful launches of many new and established TLDs.
He has brokered and sold domain names for over $550 million, including the first million-dollar sale (Wallstreet.com) and the first two-million-dollar sale (Autos.com. Later, he sold Porn.com for $9.5 million (the most expensive domains ever sold) and Slots.com for $5.5 million. In addition, he is the brains behind the concept of Live and online Domain Auctions. He also pioneered the fields of domain appraisals, escrow, and Whois Privacy protection.
On June 1st, Monte will be the host of the annual NamesCon Global Domain Auction.
In 2010, Monte was inducted into the Domain Hall of Fame.
