BARCELONA, Spain—European adult director Erika Lust, has announced a screening tour, ERIKALUST: The UK Tour, and will bring the cinematic event to three U.K. locations in October. Dates are to-be-announced, and cities included on the “road show” tour are Edinburgh, Brighton, and London.
Lust’s plans to showcase her erotic movies on the big screen and said the event “promises an immersive experience where adult cinema meets art, aiming to revolutionize the way audiences perceive erotic storytelling.”
“This is not just adult cinema, but a movement,” she continued. “I believe the future of adult cinema is about reclaiming the magic of communal experiences. We’re bringing adult films back to the grandeur of the big screen, much like the golden era of the ’60s. This tour isn’t just about watching films—it’s about fostering dialogue, creating shared experiences, and rethinking how we perceive adult content in our society.”
According to Lust, guests attending the roadshow can expect a “one-of-a-kind evening designed to ignite the senses and challenge preconceived notions about erotic content.”
The event will feature special screenings of a curated selection of Lust Films movies; a live question-and-answer session with Lust, exploring the philosophies behind ethical adult moviemaking; and big-screen showings that offer a a communal theatre experience.
Among the titles showcased will be A Man of Faith, Siren Song, and Sex Toy Story.
The director theorizes that the world of mainstream film production could learn from the adult industry’s evolution regarding policies and standard practices that have been implemented to uphold performer safety and rights, while enabling consensual and diverse eroticism in films.
“It’s about time mainstream cinema started including erotic scenes,” Lust said, “but they still have a lot to learn about authenticity, consent, and diversity when it comes to sexual representation.”
