The story follows Annie (Lulu Chu), a young woman raised under the suffocating rule of her religious stepmother Mary (Penny Barber), who is determined to keep Annie on the “righteous path.” But after Annie secretly explores her sexuality for the first time, she wakes to find a grotesque, living growth between her legs. Horrified, Mary rushes her to urgent care, where Dr. Hunt (Sophia Locke) examines the mutation – setting off a chain of events that blurs the line between faith, fear and bodily autonomy.
