Pineapple Support, the adult industry’s leading mental health nonprofit, has appointed Austin Ponce as its latest brand ambassador. The adult performer, content creator, and LGBTQ+ community figure joins a growing team of ambassadors dedicated to advocating for mental health awareness and performer support within the adult industry. Ponce has built a growing presence through adult platforms and LGBTQ+ advocacy, connecting with communities across Europe and Latin America.
“I’ve been an advocate for mental health since my teenage years, not only because I believe in its importance, but because I’ve lived it firsthand as a patient,” says Ponce. “Access to mental health services is still far too limited. Many people feel ashamed to ask for help, or simply don’t have access to it at all. That’s why organizations like Pineapple Support are so vital. Their commitment to affordability, inclusivity, and real support aligns deeply with my own values, and I’m proud to contribute to breaking down stigmas and making mental well-being a priority for everyone in our community.”
Pineapple Support was founded by British performer Leya Tanit in 2018, after a string of losses in the adult industry from depression and other mental illnesses. The organization, a qualified 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization in the United States, has connected over 16,000 adult performers to mental health services, including free and low-cost therapy, counseling, and emotional support.
“Austin’s journey—from physician to performer to advocate—is a testament to resilience and compassion,” says Tanit. “His voice carries powerful messages of self-acceptance, lived experience, and the importance of community representation.
