HOUSTON—Adult content creator and online streamer Amouranth was assaulted during a home invasion perpetrated by three assailants on March 2, a Houston Police Department (HPD) spokesperson confirmed to AVN.
Amouranth, a 2023 AVN Award winner, and her husband reportedly were held up at gunpoint when the three men invaded her property with the intent of stealing millions in cryptocurrency.
She provided updates to her millions of followers on X, explaining what happened. Amouranth revealed in her posts that the robbers pulled her out of bed and demanded that she give them access to her crypto wallet, including her eight-figure Bitcoin holdings.
Forbes notes that she once posted a screenshot of her Coinbase wallet revealing over $20 million in Bitcoin holdings.
Police confirmed to AVN that Amouranth was pistol-whipped when the men couldn’t gain access to her account.
KPRC 2, the local NBC affiliate, additionally found that she was led to her husband, who reportedly saw the posts she made on social media.
During the commission of the home invasion, Amouranth posted to X that she was being robbed at gunpoint. Per HPD, Amouranth or her husband fired shots at the men in self-defense. One robber is believed to have been shot, as evidenced by a trail of blood found on her property.
All three men fled the scene and remain at large. HPD additionally confirmed that Amouranth was hospitalized and treated for her injuries.
AVN reached out to Amouranth for comment. She declined to provide any specific reaction related to the investigation.
“However, I can share that our team is taking steps to increase security,” Amournath told AVN. “Beyond that, we’re respecting the ongoing HPD investigation and will provide any updates when we’re able.”
