SAN DIEGO—The former owner of GirlsDoPorn, Michael Pratt, pleaded guilty to federal sex trafficking charges in a federal court in San Diego on Thursday. Local news wire City News Service (CNS), via ABC 10, indicates the charges include sex trafficking and conspiracy to commit sex trafficking.
Pratt is the final defendant in the GirlsDoPorn case to plead guilty after years of protracted litigation and criminal investigation. In 2019, Pratt fled the United States to avoid arrest and remained at large, ultimately being placed on the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s 10 most wanted list alongside terrorists and drug cartel leaders.
As AVN reported previously, Pratt was arrested by the Spanish National Police in December 2022 while he was allegedly visiting Madrid, Spain. He was later extradited to the United States. Then he first appeared at a San Diego federal court in March 2024. Pratt initially chose a plea of not guilty, which was entered on his behalf.
Pratt will be sentenced in September, CNS reports.
Several co-conspirators have either been sentenced or are set to be sentenced in the GirlsDoPorn criminal trial. During the commission of these crimes, GirlsDoPorn was a content partner with Pornhub. Pornhub’s parent firm, Aylo, agreed to a Deferred Prosecution Agreement (DPA) with the Eastern District of New York to avoid prosecution.
Conditions in the DPA require Aylo to continue overhauling its trust and safety programming, hire a third-party monitor to report to the Eastern District of New York on its progress in complying with the agreement, and admit wrongdoing.
