Growing up in Chicago meant confronting poverty and police violence, both of which shaped her perspective and passion for justice. Those hardships drove her to ensure that sex workers are supported, respected, and protected.
In her downtime, Phoenix can often be found gardening or crocheting.
SWOP is a national grassroots network advancing the human rights of sex workers. Through advocacy, education, and the power of community, the organization seeks to end stigma and violence while uplifting sex workers everywhere.
