What was it about her?”
That question gave rise to Rhea, the woman at the heart of Vex’s world. “She didn’t come first — he did,” Kade explains. “But she had to be someone extraordinary to match the force of that obsession.”
When asked which character she connects with most, Kade doesn’t hesitate. “Rhea, without question. I know what it means to survive things you don’t talk about. She’s not your typical female lead — she isn’t a damsel in distress, and she’s not waiting to be saved. Her strength comes from how hard she’s had to claw her way back.
