Pineapple Support, the adult industry’s leading mental health nonprofit, is asking the adult community to join its Giving Tuesday campaign on December 3rd to help clear the waitlist of individuals seeking mental health services. With over 180 people currently waiting for therapy, the organization is aiming to raise more than $200,000 to ensure no one is left unsupported.
To encourage participation, Pineapple Support has set up custom fundraising pages for businesses and individuals through GiveLively.com. These pages allow supporters to share their campaigns while contributing to a collective leaderboard of top donors.
“This Giving Tuesday, we’re calling on the adult industry to unite and help us make a meaningful impact,” says Leya Tanit, founder and CEO of Pineapple Support. “Too many creators have considered or attempted suicide, and too many battle depression and anxiety without the resources they need. By clearing this waitlist, we can provide life-changing therapy sessions to those who need them most.”
Tanit founded Pineapple Support in 2018, after a string of losses in the adult industry from depression and other mental illnesses. The organization, a qualified 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization in the United States, has connected over 14,000 adult performers to mental health services, including free and low-cost therapy, counseling, and emotional support.
“The need for accessible mental health resources in our industry has never been greater,” says Tanit. “Together, we can ensure that every person seeking help has access to the support they deserve. Let’s make this Giving Tuesday our most impactful yet.”
Supporters can contribute to the campaign by donating directly, creating custom fundraising pages, or running their own events such as charity cam shows or live fundraising streams.
