(Las Vegas, NV / November 22, 2022) — “Some people have regrets about going into the adult industry… I regret ever leaving” … so says Sophia Locke, one year on from her return to the skin biz after taking a five-year hiatus in 2016.
Indeed, the comeback queen, who has more than made up for lost time this year with several new showcase performances for studios such as TeamSkeet, MYLF, Girlfriends Films, Naughty America, BadoinkVR/ KinkVR and New Sensations, says that leaving the industry to make her partner happy ultimately didn’t make her happy either.
“There are few jobs that have more of an impact on personal relationships than adult entertainment: from the extra-close bonds we make in our tight-knit community to the fallout with our families that no longer speak to us, there is an emotional weight that we carry – one way or another, when we choose this career.”
As a result, Locke muses that this time around, she’s committed “to do my part to demystify, legitimize and humanize the adult industry; I started a TikTok account to bring awareness to how the business of porn works. It has been a joy to reach a big audience and get the feedback that minds are changing when it comes to the negative stigma around adult work.”

ABOUT SOPHIA LOCKE:
Sophia Locke is a model, content creator and adult film star on a mission; the sultry Long Beach native was born with an adventurous streak that ultimately manifested itself in her budding sexuality. “I signed up to a cam site back in 2010 to satisfy my exhibitionism and to explore BDSM,” she said. “It was fascinating to learn the different fetishes that people were into; I also was able to make great money, so I quit my job in luxury hospitality to do it full-time for the next seven years.”
As her popularity blossomed, Locke expanded her professional brand, running events and after-parties for the infamous Cam Girl Mansion, and by 2014, she was shooting for studios part-time – primarily for Kink.com. “It was my dream site, and I was fortunate to shoot several scenes for them and other big companies over the next year and a half.”
She left the industry in 2016, as her former partner was uncomfortable with her day-to-day job duties; she shifted to real estate, but by August 2021, single again, Locke was back onscreen and shooting films like no time had passed. “I missed the exhibitionism and like-minded community of models and fans; I assumed I’d been forgotten, but the same supportive folks were shockingly still there for me and embraced my comeback.”
Unfortunately, she lost her relationship with her mother “because she doesn’t agree with what I do for a living”, affirming her personal mission “to shift perspectives of other people based on my true lived experiences in porn, since I can’t do that with her. It is healing for me.”
