(EDISON, NJ – June 5, 2022) When New Jersey voters cast their ballots to legalize adult-use (personal use) cannabis in November of 2020 by a margin of almost 70 percent for those 21 and over, the Garden State quickly became one of the largest projected cannabis markets in the country. There isn’t a better way to celebrate this landmark decision than the first-ever consumer cannabis convention, the 420 Expo (https://420expo.com), taking place at the New Jersey Convention and Exposition Center in Edison, September 16-18, 2022.
The three-day public event is expected to draw over 15,000 cannabis enthusiasts, and is produced by long-time trade show producers Three Expo Events, who have been creating popular “fringe” events around the country for over 16 years as well as specifically at the New Jersey Convention & Exposition Center for 14 years.
“This is both a location and industry that we’ve had an eye on for quite a while,” said J. Handy, Director of Three Expo Events. “With our unique experience of running large consumer events, and the ever-growing interest in the consumer cannabis market, we knew that we had to do something, and the result is the first-ever 420 Expo.”
Presented by sponsors Wakit Grinders (https://wakitgrinders.com), the 420 Expo is a celebration of all things cannabis related. While on-site sales, gifting, or distribution of any sort of marijuana or THC is not permitted at the event, in accordance with New Jersey law, which states you are permitted to possess the legal limit (up to six ounces for personal use), when attending the 420 Expo, which will be a B.Y.O.C. (Bring Your Own Cannabis) event and will feature a dedicated outdoor smoking area which will also feature food trucks, games, music and entertainment.
Like any consumer trade show, the 420 Expo features an exhibit hall with over 100 cannabis-related vendors including dispensaries, CBD companies, on-site glass blowing, the sale of accessories, not-for-profits and advocates, legal services, business and employment opportunities, and lots more. An indoor dining area, aptly named the “Stoner Food Court,” will also have plenty of tasty fare for anyone with a case of the munchies.
The 420 Expo also features a full, professionally-produced, entertainment stage with a non-stop schedule of demonstrations, contests, celebrity Q&A sessions, live music and other performances to keep the party going.
Another key feature to the expo is the 420 Seminar Series, featuring panels and programming, which are both educational and entertaining. Consumers can learn more about the benefits of medical marijuana, legal rights regarding cannabis, information on getting into the industry, fun discussions on the best stoner movies or even making infused THC treats, our seminars will cover it.
A number of featured celebrity guests will be on hand to meet, greet and sign autographs at the 420 Expo. In addition, daily 4:20 and 7:10 celebrations, giveaways, musical guests, a VIP lounge and lan array of amazing vendors await attendees inside and outside the weekend-long event. When the doors close at the expo, the fun doesn’t end as nightly after parties will take place throughout the area.
