LOS ANGELES — SexWorkCEO (SWCEO) founder and creator MelRose Michaels will survey sex workers about the rapidly changing business landscape throughout the week at XBIZ Miami.
A rep noted Michaels will be conducting a creator survey to better understand the demographics and needs of the creator community, as well as identify creators that are interested in brand sponsorship and partnership opportunities.
Creators who aren’t attending XBIZ Miami, but are interested in taking the survey, may do so here.
“This is the first time in over two years that many of us will have an opportunity to connect in real life,” said Michaels. “I’m excited to have the deeper conversations that come with in-person contact, whether it’s after a panel or over a drink. It’s a crucial time to compare notes, and understand how we can better support each other.
“We need to understand the power we have as individual creators, as well as the value we bring to platforms,” she continued. “Companies are eager to work with engaged creators, but oddly don’t always know how to reach or find us, especially if we’re independent. One of my goals with SWCEO is to help connect talented creators with platforms that are interested in working with them. The more direct communication these industry leaders have with creators, the higher the chances for them to build products and platforms with our influence and needs in mind.
“Similarly, when we as creators allow these same companies to sponsor our podcasts or youtube videos, we open the door for them to reach more active and engaged creators,” concluded Michaels. “It’s the perfect opportunity for everyone.”
