How many industry shows have you missed because you couldn’t score reasonable airfare?
Well, guess what, it’s time to start traveling and fulfilling your business goals (like attending the 12th Annual YNOT Awards in Prague) because cheap flights are within reach.
It starts with a subscription to Scott’s Cheap Flights.
First and foremost, I have no affiliation with Scott (and yes, he’s a real person) so everything I’m telling you comes from my membership experience. I’m sharing his site with you because it truly works – you’ll be able to lock in domestic and international fares at the cheapest rates you’ve ever seen. This year alone I traveled to the UK for $487 and will head to Spain in October for the same price!
Who the heck is this “Scott” guy?
Scott never planned on starting on a business, he just loved to travel. But he had an incredible knack for figuring out how to get cheap flights. His friends and colleagues started bugging him to help them get good deals too and that’s how the company was born. Nearly a decade later, Scott’s now got over 2 million members.
Let’s get to the nitty gritty.
Pricewise, it’s CHEAP to sign up. And by cheap, I mean FREE.
There are several tiers – the “freemium” version as they call it gives you one flight deal a week in your inbox. If you like what you see you can upgrade to the Premium version which is $49 a year. This is the one I have, and if you plan at least a trip a year, it’s more than worth it (you’ll save hundreds on one ticket). They also have an elite version ($180 a year) which has more perks – such as access to first class fares.
Now why are Scott’s flight deals better than other services out there? The company has a team of experts that scour the internet for special fares within certain parameters – they must be reliable carriers, reasonable flight time (they’re not going to send you a trip with a nine-hour layover), and the airfare must be terrific; not just $50 off. It’s got to be hundreds. That’s right, whatever deals they email you have to be GOOD flights on GOOD airlines, with INCREDIBLE prices.
So, visit us in Prague on the 23rd of August!
Scott’s also finds mistake fares – these are rare but happen – that’s when an airline accidentally publishes a flight at the wrong price. Last year I saw one to Salt Lake City for $49. All the deals they post only last a day or two, so you must act fast. See one you want? Buy it now.
Every single day I get an incredible tip in my inbox from Scott’s. European flights out of Los Angeles to Europe usually come in around $450 to $550. Typically, this airfare only includes a carryon, (luggage will cost you about an extra $100+), but hey, traveling light has its benefits – easier to maneuver, less insanity about what you’re going to wear each day, and unpacking is a breeze when you get home.
Don’t live in Los Angeles? No worries, Scott’s finds great flights all over the USA and when you sign up you get to choose which airports you leave from.
If you really want to take it up a notch, I also suggest purchasing his book – Take More Vacations – where you’ll find some incredible hacks you never thought of like flying into a different city, then connecting to another flight to lop off hundreds of dollars on your ticket. He also busts myths that it matters what day of the week you buy a flight (it doesn’t), and he’ll tell you how airlines make their money, how to get free upgrades, and more.
So, start making plans for all the shows you want to attend – they’re within reach! Sign up for Scott’s Cheap Flights, it will save you hundreds of dollars and fulfill your traveling dreams. See ya in Prague!
